Why Mercedes All Keys Lost Is Complicated
Mercedes-Benz uses an Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS) system that ties each key to the vehicle's immobilizer. When you lose all keys, there's no working key to "copy" — the new key has to be programmed from scratch directly to the EIS module. This requires professional-grade automotive key programming equipment, not the generic tools most locksmiths carry.
Most dealerships will tell you the car needs to be towed in, the EIS module may need to be replaced, and you're looking at a week or more. That's often not necessary. For Mercedes models up to 2014, Tim has the equipment and experience to handle all keys lost on-site, at your location, without towing.
