## Exterior Doors
* [ ] **Deadbolts:** Do all exterior doors have a deadbolt with at least a 1-inch throw?
* [ ] **Strike Plates:** Are the strike plates reinforced with 3-inch screws that go into the studs, not just the trim?
* [ ] **View:** Can you see who is at the door (peephole or camera) without opening it?
* [ ] **Sliding Doors:** Do you have a secondary blocking bar or lock to prevent them from being lifted or forced?

## Windows
* [ ] **Locks:** Do all window locks function correctly?
* [ ] **Visibility:** Are bushes trimmed back so they don't provide cover for intruders?

* [ ] **New Home:** Did you rekey the locks when you moved in?
* [ ] **Tracking:** Do you know exactly who has a copy of your house key?

## Lighting & Habits
* [ ] **Motion Lights:** Do you have motion-sensor lights near entrances?
* [ ] **Routine:** Do you lock your doors every time you leave, even for a short walk?
* [ ] **Garage:** Do you keep the door from the garage to the house locked?
