Our Hours
Why We're Not 24/7 — And Why That's a Good Thing
Many locksmith ads you see online claiming "24/7 service" are actually call centers that dispatch whoever is available — often unlicensed technicians who charge dramatically inflated prices once they arrive. This is one of the most common consumer scams in the locksmith industry.
Sprouse's Locksmith is a real family business. Tim Sprouse answers the phone himself. We work 7 AM to 7 PM because that's when we can provide quality service at honest prices. We'd rather tell you our real hours than send someone out at 2 AM who charges you $400 for a $75 job.

Watch Out for Locksmith Scams
If you're searching for a locksmith at night and you're in a hurry, you're exactly the target scammers look for. Here's how to protect yourself:
- 1Prices advertised as $15–$35 are bait. Real locksmith work costs more.
- 2If the technician arrives in an unmarked vehicle with no ID, be cautious.
- 3Get a price quote over the phone before they start any work.
- 4If the price jumps dramatically after they arrive, you can refuse the work.
- 5Search the business name — a legitimate local locksmith will have reviews and a real address.
When in doubt, wait until 7 AM and call Sprouse's. We'll give you an honest quote and show up in a marked vehicle.
